The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation will be hosting “Creativity: The Unsetting Sun”, a virtual art exhibition by Al Jidar Group via its online platform on Sunday evening, July 26, 2020. The exhibition will feature artworks by artists Ahmad Hilouz, Ihsan Al Khatib, Mahmoud Al Rumaihi, Mohammad Fahmi, Mohammed Yousuf, Najat Makki, Farid Fadhel, Salem Al Junaibi, Rehab Saidam and the late Abdul Karim Al Sayyed. The event will showcase a symphony of colors that reflects not only the realities of life but also its joys and its sense of hope. Moreover, the featured artworks aim at chronicling the times, hence triumphing over fear and anxiety. The event will also include a discussion featuring artists from Al Jidar Group via Zoom online platform, to be followed by a screening of a video about the featured artworks and certificates for each artist.
It is worth mentioning that this exhibition will coincide with the launch of Al Owais Foundation’s new online platform for plastic art through which the Foundation will be hosting virtual art exhibitions in the future. The platform aims at showcasing the artworks of renowned veteran artists as well as the work of young artistic talents; hence presenting a unique mixture of wisdom, grandeur, boldness and innovation.
In its new exhibition, “Creativity: The Unsetting Sun”, Al Jidar Group will stress its strong presence in the artistic scene through the new medium of digital platforms; overcoming any barriers to reach a wider audience, transcending all geographical boundaries to forge new paths to success in the world of plastic art, and spreading its wide spectrum of art among art enthusiasts everywhere. The works of art that will be featured in the exhibition are more of a message written in the language of today to be read tomorrow, filled with the ambition of overcoming all hurdles and hardships and ushering in a gleam of light that leads the way to a brighter future where we are all better and purer than we ever were.
The Sultan Bin Ali AL Owais Cultural Foundation has aimed at widening the scope of its virtual cultural events, to include not only webinars but also online plastic art exhibitions featuring art from different genres, forms and trends. It is worth mentioning that over the years, the exhibition hall of the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation has hosted numerous exhibitions by many leading artists, who –in this prestigious venue- have had the chance to display their works and discuss them with the audience and with other fellow artists.
And in light of the current digital age, and the unprecedented pace of change in technology, the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation is leaving its mark on the Arab cultural scene as it launches its online platform for virtual art exhibitions. Through the amazing artworks it features, the platform aims at delivering to its audience the passion that used to fill the corners of real-life exhibitions; and carry them forth to a wider virtual world. This initiative stresses that art triumphs even in the time of pandemics, and culture has the ability to grow and flourish even via digital platforms, which are all created for the good of mankind.
