Organizers of the Venice International Film Festival have announced that veteran British actress Vanessa Redgrave has won the “Golden Lion” award in the 2018 edition of the festival in recognition of her acting career.
It is worth mentioning that 81-year-old Redgrave, had won the Oscar Award for best supporting actress for her role in “Julia” (1977). Moreover, she participated in more than 100 films, including “Blow-up”, which was produced in the 1960s.
Redgrave is currently married to renowned Italian actor Franko Nero (76 years). The Venice Film Festival is the oldest festival of its kind. It was established in 1932. The 75th edition of the Festival will run from August 39 to September 8, 2018.
