- Born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1949.
- Studied Economics and Sociology at the Higher School of Arts, Saint Joseph University in Beirut. • After graduating from university, he embarked on his journalistic career and worked as a writer for the Economic Supplement of “An-Nahar” newspaper.
- In 1976, he moved to France; where he worked in the financial magazine “Economia” and later became the editor-in-chief of the “Jeune Afrique” magazine. He also continued to write for the Lebanese daily newspaper; “An-Nahar”, as well as the “An-Nahar Al Arabi Wal Dawli” magazine. • His first book, The Crusades through Arab Eyes, was published in 1983 by JC Latte?s Publishing House; which also published his later books.
- His books have been translated into many languages.
