The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation will host an art exhibition titled, “Zayed…Words of Gold”, by plastic artist Khaled Mustafa Al Tabaa, at 7 pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. The event will be held at the Exhibition Hall of the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Rigga Street, Dubai.
The exhibition reflects how the artist conceives the great progress made by the United Arab Emirates, and how he takes pride in being one of its residents since 2004. Inspired by the remarkable progress he has witnessed in the UAE, the artist has decided to employ his art to thank the Founder of the United Arab Emirates, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan – May Allah have mercy upon him) by selecting some of his quotes and presenting them in a style that echoes their meaning and reflects the rich heritage they carry, using various techniques including the metallic golden color against backgrounds of different colors ranging from white to black.
It is worth mentioning that artist Khaled Al Tabaa was born in Yabroud, Syria, and grew up in a family of artists and art lovers. His father worked in marquetry; the art of inlaying mother of pearl, silver and mosaic into wood. In 1998, he moved to Damascus to study plastic art at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University. He graduated with a degree in Graphic Art in 2003.
He participated in many art exhibitions and had one solo art exhibition in Damascus, titled “Leaves from the Depths of Autumn”, which was held in 2003 and “Zayed… Words of Gold” is second solo exhibition.
