Find out why a portrait of the Kuwaiti Emir was drawn in sand at Dubai’s Al Qudra Lake
The fraternal love between the UAE and Kuwait can be be seen from miles around, including from space.
To celebrate Kuwait’s National Day on February 25, the UAE presented a portrait to Kuwait’s Emir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, posted a video on his twitter account of how the giant portrait was made.
The short video clip was accompanied with the caption: “The love of Kuwait and the people of Kuwait is etched into our land… in our hearts… in our history… May beloved Kuwait and its amir, prince of humanity, continue to see years of prosperity and peace.”
The sand portrait, titled ‘Prince of Humanity,’ covers an area of more than 170,000 square feet, and has been registered for the Guinness Book of World Records.
