The jury of the 15th edition of the festival presented a report, delivered by artist Samira Ahmed, which included several key recommendations. Among the jury’s most significant findings was the need to prioritise the Arabic language, adhering to its rules and utilising a proofreader to ensure works are free of linguistic errors. The jury members emphasised the importance of proper articulation and highlighted the necessity of adequately preparing actors and their tools as essential components of theatrical production.
Furthermore, the jury underlined the importance of carefully selecting directors who possess extensive experience and knowledge in the field. They recommended that participating teams adhere strictly to all regulations and laws of the festival, ensuring rigorous standards for performances. The jury also underscored the importance of nurturing young talent, including writers, directors, and actors, by providing them with opportunities to express their ideas and visions through relevant projects.
The jury also urged the festival management to consider introducing more awards in future sessions, such as Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Set Design, Best Theatrical Costumes, and Best Theatrical Makeup, recognising their potential to motivate participants to excel across all specialised areas of theatre.
