Famous Sudanese artist AbdulKarim Al-Kabli passed away early Friday at the age of 90.
Sudanese cabinet mourned the Sudanese icon, stating that late Al-Kabli dedicated himself to serving the Sudanese art, culture and heritage.
Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk offered condolences to the family of the late, the Sudanese nation and every lover of art, beauty and life.
Al-Kabli was born in 1932 in eastern Sudan and began singing at the age of 18 in November 1960.
His popularity started when he sang the Asia and Africa anthem by the poet Taj L-Sir L-Hassan in the presence of the late Egyptian president Jamal Abdulnasser during his visit to Khartoum. (end) mam.gaa
