Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), said that the Emirati Book Fair (EBF) inculcates the Emirati culture, and the Emirate of Sharjah’s message to the world to celebrate our writers and authors.
The chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority confirmed that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has set up the Emirati Book Fair to draw people’s attention to Emirati writers.
He added to “Sharjah 24”, “Today, we have more than 950 Emirati writers, and more than 30 publishing houses are participating in the second edition of the Emirati Book Fair, through which we perpetuate the UAE culture, and also to celebrate Emirati writers and thinkers in this holy month. This is Sharjah’s message to the world.”
Al Ameri pointed out that the Emirati Book Fair is unique and the first of its kind in the world, and is a new message from Sharjah to the world to celebrate our writers.
