Al Majaz Amphitheatre has made an announcement that’ll keep your celebratory spirits high this Eid Al-Fitr despite the challenges posed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Al Shehhi will raise the curtain on May 25, 9:00 pm, filling your room with his soulful Khaleeji-style compositions, followed by Iraqi music maestro Hatem who will take stage on May 26, at 9:00 pm. Wrapping up this three-day Eid extravaganza will be Yara, enthralling her fans real-time with her mega hits on May 27, at 9:00 pm.
All three stars will deliver their performances at the iconic destination – something Al Majaz Amphitheatre management has arranged for to ensure that for viewers and fans watching at home, the concert experience is as authentic as possible.
His Excellency Tariq Saeed Alay, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, said: “We have always believed in music as a vehicle of joy, reflection and entertainment. The power of the medium in people together and helping us staying connected cannot be overstated, and is something we need now more than ever, given the restrictions that have been imposed on social interactions and gatherings to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Notwithstanding our challenging circumstances, we sought to brighten up Eid Al-Fitr festivities this year for our community and Arabic music lovers across the globe. These star-studded virtual concerts will be exceptional in their quality of entertainment and make for lifelong memories.”
“This initiative reiterates our commitment to our social responsibility in protecting our community and bringing joy to people’s lives through art, music and culture. As the region’s premier performance and events venue, Al Majaz Amphitheatre will do its best in carrying forward its mission in full adherence with the precautionary measures being taken by the UAE government. These concerts are a feast for the senses and by hosting a top line-up of artists, the audience can look forward to three exceptional evenings of live music even as they #StayHome.”
